If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into a scene from your favorite K-drama, there’s no better place than the neon-lit alleys of Euljiro, Seoul. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Cat and Milton on a cinematic night shoot that blended romance, city lights, and a touch of rain – the perfect recipe for those iconic Korean drama vibes.
At Modu Studios, I specialize in creating timeless, cinematic memories for couples and travelers. Whether you’re searching for a photoshoot in Seoul, need experienced photographers in Korea, or are looking for an English-speaking Seoul photographer, I help bring your story to life against the vibrant backdrop of this incredible city.
Euljiro is one of Seoul’s most atmospheric districts – a maze of hidden alleys, neon signs, and old-meets-new charm. It’s often called “Hipjiro” thanks to its mix of traditional shops, retro bars, and trendy cafes. At night, especially after a summer rain, the streets glow with reflections of colorful neon lights – setting the stage for the ultimate K-drama photoshoot in Seoul.
For Cat and Milton, we explored cozy convenience stores, lively arcades, and the narrow neon-lit streets where every corner looked like it belonged in a drama scene.
I’ll be honest – when the forecast called for rain that evening, I was a little nervous. Rain can make shoots tricky, and most couples understandably want clear skies. But what happened was pure magic. With clear umbrellas and reflections bouncing off the wet pavement, the photos turned out even dreamier than I imagined. The rain added a cinematic glow and intimacy that made the whole shoot feel like a scene from a romance film.
Now, rainy-night shoots have become one of my favorite ways to capture couples in Seoul – they’re unpredictable, emotional, and unforgettable.
Meeting new clients can sometimes feel intimidating, especially in front of a camera in a foreign city. That’s why my first priority is always to make people feel comfortable and relaxed. I never want photos to feel stiff or overly posed – instead, I focus on helping you enjoy the moment with your partner.
For me, photography is about connection. If you’re laughing, exploring, or just being yourselves, the photos will naturally reflect your story. My role is to guide you through the experience, give you the right cues, and make sure you feel at ease – so the real magic can happen.
