When I first started exploring Seoul with my camera, I quickly realized that the city isn’t just full of sights—it’s full of stories. Every street, alley, and landmark has its own vibe, and capturing it on camera makes your experience unforgettable. I’m Jack, lead photographer at Modu Studios, and in my (maybe slightly biased 😉) opinion, hiring a professional photographer in Seoul is one of the best ways to preserve your memories.
Seoul is a vibrant, bustling city, and cinematic in a way that’s hard to capture with just a smartphone. From the traditional beauty of Gyeongbokgung Palace to the neon-lit alleyways of Euljiro, each corner has a unique aesthetic waiting to be captured. First off, an experienced professional photographer here in Seoul knows all the best spots - which is hugely important to capturing great photos. In addition, they also how to find the perfect angles, lighting, and moments that make your photos feel alive and personal.
At Modu Studios, we specialize in creating photos that feel like they belong in a storybook or K-drama. Whether it’s a romantic couple session, a solo adventure, or a full family shoot, we focus on helping you relax and making the entire experience memorable and fun! Our sessions combine cinematic storytelling, iconic Seoul locations, and a touch of a retro/nostalgic style. Our goal is to make every photo not just a picture, but a memory that you’ll treasure forever.
One thing that sets Modu Studios apart is that we provide a native English-speaking service. There are tons of professional photographers in Seoul, however the vast majority either can't speak english at all or at minimum, not natively. When working with us, communication is easy, and you’ll always know what to expect during your photoshoot, which makes the experience seamless and stress-free for our international clients.
We love capturing the magic of Seoul in a variety of settings. Popular spots include Gyeongbokgung Palace, Euljiro, Ikseon-dong, Bukchon Hanok Village, and other hidden side streets or rooftops that give your photos a unique cinematic feel.
It’s not just about the photos—it’s about the entire experience. I love chatting with clients, sharing hidden gems, and my favourite restaurants around the city, and helping them feel confident in front of the camera. To be honest, at the end of most sessions, people often forget I’m even there, and that’s when the best, most natural moments happen.
If you’re visiting Seoul, don’t just see the city—capture it. Hiring a Seoul photographer with Modu Studios ensures that your photoshoot will be enjoyable and stress-free and that your memories will be beautifully photographed. Check out our list of packages here!
