You've picked the ring, you've picked the city... Now comes the part nobody warns you about: how do you actually get a photo of the moment without your partner clocking a stranger with a camera fifty feet away?
That's the whole job of a Seoul proposal photographer. It's a different skill set from a normal couples shoot. The photographer has to stay invisible until the exact second it matters, then capture something you'll look at for the rest of your life. Here's how it actually works, what it costs, and how to plan one in Seoul without tipping off your partner. Or you can skip ahead and book your session if you already know Seoul is the spot 😎🇰🇷.

We get it - asking a friend to "casually" film it feels lower stakes. But a proposal happens once, fast, and usually with shaking hands. A friend with a phone is guessing at framing, lighting, and timing all at once, from one angle, often too close to stay hidden.
A dedicated Seoul proposal photographer solves three problems at once:

Here's what booking a proposal photographer in Seoul with Modu Studios actually looks like, start to finish:

Seoul gives you a lot to work with — the trick is picking a spot that photographs beautifully and gives a photographer somewhere to hide.
If you're not sure where to propose, tell us your style (quiet and intimate vs. big city backdrop) when you book your session and we'll recommend a spot that fits both the moment and the shot.

Our Seoul proposal photography package is a 1-hour session for $400 USD, which covers:
That covers the walk-up, the moment itself, and time afterward for a few genuine portraits once you've both caught your breath. If you'd like to extend into a full couples shoot around the city afterward — golden hour portraits, an outfit change, a second location — just let us know and we can build that in.

How far away will the photographer be? It depends entirely on the location - sometimes just a few meters with a wide lens, sometimes further back with a longer one. We'll always talk this through with you ahead of time based on where you're proposing.
What if my partner notices the camera? It happens occasionally, and it's rarely a problem. Most people are far too focused on what's happening to register a photographer nearby. We plan positioning specifically to minimize the chance either way.
Can we extend the session if the proposal goes well (fingers crossed)? Yes. If you'd like more time for portraits afterward, just mention it when you book and we can arrange a longer session.
Do we need to speak Korean to book or communicate on the day? No. Modu Studios is run by native English speakers, so planning, communication, and the shoot itself are all in English.
Planning a proposal in Seoul is stressful enough without worrying about who's going to capture it. Book your Seoul proposal photography session and we'll help you plan the moment, not just photograph it.
