Top 10 Seoul Photographers for Couples (and Why We Love Their Style)

Whether you’re planning a romantic trip to South Korea or a special couple session here in Seoul, finding an English-speaking, experienced photographer who understands your vision is key. Here are ten excellent choices — each with a unique style and strong reputation.

1. Modu Studios — Cinematic K-Drama Inspired Photography

Best for: Couples who want dramatic, emotional, cinematic portraits in Seoul.

At Modu Studios, we specialise in creating moments that feel like a scene from a K-drama: neon-lit alleys, rainy night reflections, candid, spontaneus laughter. We guide couples throughout the process, making sure you feel comfortable, and create images that tell your unique story in Seoul. As English-speaking Seoul photographers, Jeff and I understand international clients very well and aim to make the experience stress-free and enjoyable. With our unique, vintage and cinematic style, we're also different than almost every other photographer in city (most photographers here shoot the same clean, elegant style that you've probably seen on instagram).

3. HanbokPhotographerSeoul.com — Premium, Personalized Sessions

They emphasise “exclusive & personalised service,” limited bookings, and full guidance on outfits and posing. hanbokphotographerseoul.com A great pick if you want someone who handles logistics and helps you relax - especially near the palaces.

4. Travel Snap / Travel-Portrait Photography Platforms — Quick & Easy Booking

5. Lorryn Smit Photography — Authentic, Candid Storytelling

6. (Photographer via Airbnb Experiences) — Tourist-Friendly & Traveler-Focused

Best for: Visiting couples who want a comfortable English-friendly shoot with less planning.
Many listings on platforms like Airbnb include “Photography: Seoul memories by Sofi & Taewoo,” “Night portraits by Cameron,” etc. Airbnb These are good for travelers who want convenience, though you may need to review portfolios carefully for style.

7. (Travel Snap Service – KoreaTravelEasy) — Versatile Location Options

Best for: Couples who want flexibility in location (palace, city night, Hanok, etc.)

How to Choose the Right Seoul Photographer

When you’re comparing, keep these in mind:

  • Style match: Look at each photographer’s portfolio—does their editing and composition reflect your vision?
  • Communication: Are they fluent in English / comfortable working with international clients?
  • Locations: Do they know good spots in Seoul (and timing for light, crowds etc.)?
  • Comfort: How quickly do you feel at ease with them? Your photos will reflect how relaxed you are.
  • Logistics: Time of shoot (day vs night), props/wardrobe, delivery time, pricing.
